There seems to be some confusion among Faithists concerning the meaning of “Giving Up Self.” I refer particularly to expressions we sometimes hear:

We’re at a time when intimate relationships are as free as any, and even marriage does not keep many persons from trying to fulfil their desires yet, these are more than likely glands calling to glands!
